Mental Health
Your mood has more than one source
About one in five adults in the US lives with depression, anxiety, or another mental health condition. Yet mental health is often treated in isolation, as if mood had nothing to do with sleep, hormones, nutrition, or inflammation.
We take a different approach. Your physical health, lifestyle, and surroundings all affect your mood, behavior, and thinking, so we look at all of them. Evidence-based mental health care is combined with functional medicine to build a plan that fits your needs.
What we help with
• Anxiety and stress
• Depression and low mood
• ADHD and difficulty focusing
• Mood changes and irritability
• Trauma and its effects
• Sleep problems
• Burnout and exhaustion
• Brain fog and cognitive changes
• Relationship difficulties affecting your wellbeing
What care includes
A thorough evaluation. We review your symptoms, personal and family history, medical background, medications and supplements, sleep, and stress, and look for physical contributors that can cause or worsen mental health symptoms, such as thyroid problems, hormone shifts, or nutrient deficiencies.
Advanced lab testing. When helpful, labs can reveal hormone, nutrient, inflammatory, or metabolic issues that affect mood and focus.
Thoughtful medication management. When medication is part of the plan, it’s chosen and dosed carefully, with regular follow-up. GeneSight genetic testing can show how your body is likely to process common medications for anxiety, depression, and ADHD, which is especially useful if past medications didn’t work or caused side effects.
Integrative support. Nutrition for brain health, hormone and neurotransmitter support, sleep improvement, and lifestyle strategies that support lasting mental wellness.
